Laser Cladding of Internal Surfaces and Complex Geometries

Laser cladding is already well established for external surfaces, but coating internal surfaces has remained challenging, especially for components with complex geometries. The newly developed Laserline OTI processing optics overcome these limitations, enabling high-performance coatings on hard-to-reach areas.
With their compact design and angled nozzle, the OTI optics allow precise laser beam guidance along the component axis, enabling internal coatings at immersion depths of several meters. This opens new possibilities for cylindrical and linear geometries such as pipes, as well as complex components like truck brake discs. In combination with high-power Laserline diode lasers, the optics deliver high material deposition rates, fast process speeds, and homogeneous coatings with excellent reproducibility. Their compact design also allows easy integration into automated manufacturing systems, making them an ideal tool for efficient and productive coating processes.
